Lori C. Warren entered the FBI in 1999 and served in the Chicago, Cincinnati, Washington, D.C. (FBI Headquarters) and Denver divisions. She became an FBI polygraph examiner in 2010 after training at the National Center for Credibility Assessment, later supervising in the FBI Polygraph Unit. She retired in 2019 and founded Warren Polygraph & Consulting Services, a female-owned business in Cleveland, Tennessee, in 2021.

01. How does a polygraph examination work?
A polygraph records physiological responses such as breathing, heart rate, blood pressure and skin conductance while you answer questions you have already reviewed with the examiner. The examiner then analyzes the charts to determine whether your responses indicate deception.
02. How long does an examination take?
Most examinations take two to three hours. This includes the pre-test interview, the examination itself and the review of results.
03. Will I see the questions beforehand?
Yes. Every question is reviewed and discussed with you before the examination begins. There are no surprise questions.
04. How accurate is a polygraph?
Accuracy depends heavily on the examiner’s training and the quality of the questions. Lori was trained at the National Center for Credibility Assessment and follows American Polygraph Association guidelines and validated testing techniques.
05. How should I prepare for my exam?
Get a full night’s sleep, eat normally and take any prescribed medications as usual. Avoid alcohol and recreational drugs, and bring a photo ID.
